Merlin, now age 14

Merlin has been working with me on his fitness and conditioning exercises since he was 1 year old. I noticed he has movement in his knees when itching his ear so after confirmation from the vet and a referral for hydro, I started a programme for Merlin to help keep his legs strong.

The Trim in Ten exercises give me something to work on for days when I might not be feeling well or time is just not on our side so I don't miss his fitness out and risk muscle weakness!

Louie, 2 in photo

Louie started working on conditioning and strengthening when he was around 1 year old to help him with focus, confidence and strengthening his body overall.

At age 2 an accident at a daycare meant his was limping on a front leg but vets were unable to locate the issue in the leg or paw. Joe recommended vets take a look at his shoulder so when he visited my canine specialist I mentioned there shoulder and yes, shoulder injury was the cause of the limp and pain!

After a period of rest Louie continued conditioning exercises with gentle work for the front end designed for Louie's shoulder. This helped him become strong again and no more limping!

Ruby, now age 10

Ruby loves being active and has spent a lifetime doing Agility, Hoopers and long hikes with us! Conditioning and Fitness sessions with Joe were initially something to try and Ruby enjoyed them but as she progressed we noticed how much stronger she became with better body awareness, less likely to injure herself on uneven surfaces, could go on longer hikes and was in excellent overall shape.

Not only are the exercises physically beneficial but they are also great mental stimulation which is perfect in the winter for bad weather days! Being able to continue the training from home over the winter months also kept Ruby in top condition ready for the start of the new Agility season too.
